“I’m a mommy in an intercultural family. That’s why I care deeply about contributing to a prosperous future for my child and her loved ones, whether they live in Europe or in the global South. I admire engineers who create products and services that help improve people’s lives. Think of electricity, sewage systems, computers, vaccines. Throughout industrial history, Earth’s resources have been depleted. This has put the prosperity of future generations at stake, not to mention our fellow creatures on this planet. That’s why I think we need a transition to a circular economy. Resource use would be optimised, supply chain loops would be closed, and waste would be turned into new resources. This transition can become a new industrial revolution in which humans can prosper and nature can thrive.”
